Heliogram
The live Sun on your Mac's screens: as your desktop picture, your screen saver, or a wall of video.
macOS 13 or later · Apple Silicon and Intel
Until Heliogram 0.8 is out, this downloads Heliograph 0.7, the same app under its old name.
- Open the disk image and drag Heliogram to Applications.
- Already have it? Drag the new one over the old; your settings stay.
- From 0.7 on, Heliogram keeps itself up to date. Earlier versions show a notice in the menu bar Sun; download this one over them.
What's new in 0.7
- Heliogram now updates itself. It checks once a day, downloads in the background and installs when you quit; a kiosk installs overnight.
- Lighter on your network: imagery is checked once a day, or twice if you choose, only what your screens show is downloaded, and nothing is fetched unless it has changed.
- What you pick is what you see. Un-ticking a product takes it off every screen; ticking one fetches it at once.
- On a wall, the arrow keys step through the clips, and no wavelength appears on two screens at once or twice in a row.
- A redesigned Settings window that follows dark mode, shows the version, and has a Turn Off and Quit button that undoes what Heliogram set up.
- A new icon.
